I think this is very good in general. However, I would say that morale and leadership do have an effect on the play of individuals, just that it’s immesurable (or nigh so), and for Sutcliffe to propose that the Yankees have been only good enough to win 85-100 games each year with A-Rod playing 3B because A-Rod “only gets hits in blow outs” or “is a poor clubhouse figure” is a little presumptuous on Sut’s part.
